Mitre, World Cup 2006, Football Promotion.

For World Cup 2006 Mitre wanted a point of sale display for their official England world cup ball.

It was to be rolled out across 2000 sporting goods stores and large supermarkets, including Tesco and Sainsburys. A cardboard dump bin design was devised. However as the nation was getting whipped up in to a football frenzy the supermarkets and sporting goods chains realised they would not be able to inflate the balls in store, as the demand would be so high.

Kenton Instore was able to step in, not only were we able to print the 2000 cardboard dump bins but we were able to construct the point of sale display and fill them with inflated footballs and deliver them direct to the 2000 different locations. We also managed the logistics of restocking these dump bins with inflated balls as the competition progressed.

The campaign was a phenomenal success with Mitre selling over 250,000 balls from these dump bins during the competition, with every ball being inflated and delivered by Kenton Instore.

How many point of sale printers would be able to demonstrate that level of commitment to their customers with such "a can do attitude".
